Of this total, 0.1 million metric tons were solid caustic soda and 50 metric tons were liquid caustic soda. China exported 53.8 million metric tons of caustic soda. Of this total, 9.5 million metric tons were solid caustic soda and 44.4 million metric tons were liquid caustic soda.

According to statistics from the Chengdu Customs, in the first four months of this year, Sichuan’s total value of goods trade imports and exports reached 346.38 billion yuan, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year (hereinafter the same). Of this total, exports amounted to 192.52 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.9%; imports totaled 153.86 billion yuan, an increase of 17.1%.

According to customs statistics, in the first four months of 2026, China’s total value of goods trade imports and exports reached 16.23 trillion yuan, up 14.9% year-on-year (same as below).

According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, in March 2026, China imported 1.319 million metric tons of raw salt, a year-on-year decrease of 5.4%.

According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s caustic soda production (100% equivalent) in March 2026 reached 4.131 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%; from January to March 2026, China’s caustic soda production (100% equivalent) totaled 12.002 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%.

Customs statistics show that in January 2026, China’s imports of chloracetic acid totaled 132.2 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23.8%; exports totaled 4,622.8 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 43.5%. In February, China’s chloroacetic acid imports totaled 44.0 tons, down 66.7% month-on-month and 54.3% year-on-year; exports totaled 2,703.6 tons, down 41.5% month-on-month and 7.6% year-on-year.
