According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, in April, China imported 0.1 million metric tons of caustic soda. Of this total, 0.1 million metric tons were solid caustic soda and 50 metric tons were liquid caustic soda. China exported 53.8 million metric tons of caustic soda. Of this total, 9.5 million metric tons were solid caustic soda and 44.4 million metric tons were liquid caustic soda.
According to statistics from the Chengdu Customs, in the first four months of this year, Sichuan’s total value of goods trade imports and exports reached 346.38 billion yuan, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year (hereinafter the same). Of this total, exports amounted to 192.52 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.9%; imports totaled 153.86 billion yuan, an increase of 17.1%.
According to customs statistics, in the first four months of 2026, China’s total value of goods trade imports and exports reached 16.23 trillion yuan, up 14.9% year-on-year (same as below).
According to the latest customs data, China imported 551.2 metric tons of hydrochloric acid in October 2025, representing a year-on-year decrease of 25.8%. Major import sources were: Taiwan Province of China (415.8 metric tons, accounting for 75.4%); Japan (118.9 metric tons, accounting for 21.6%).
In 2024, bilateral goods trade between China and the U.S. reached $688.28 billion, 275 times the level at the time of diplomatic normalization in 1979.
According to customs statistics, China's total import and export value of goods reached 41.21 trillion yuan in the first 11 months of 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.6%.
