According to statistics from the Chengdu Customs, in the first four months of this year, Sichuan’s total value of goods trade imports and exports reached 346.38 billion yuan, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year (hereinafter the same). Of this total, exports amounted to 192.52 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.9%; imports totaled 153.86 billion yuan, an increase of 17.1%.

By trade mode, Sichuan’s general trade imports and exports totaled 128.95 billion yuan, up 7%. Bonded logistics imports and exports reached 52.32 billion yuan, up 29.7%. Processing trade imports and exports amounted to 153.29 billion yuan, down 7.6%.

In the first four months, Sichuan’s trade with ASEAN totaled 74.03 billion yuan, down 5.2%. Trade with the EU totaled 54.01 billion yuan, an increase of 14.3%. Trade with the United States totaled 49.32 billion yuan, a decrease of 24.4%.

In terms of trade entities, during the first four months, the number of enterprises in Sichuan with actual import and export activity reached 8,032, an increase of 17.1%. Among them, private enterprises recorded imports and exports of 132.44 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9%. State-owned enterprises recorded imports and exports totaling 22.34 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9%.

In terms of key commodities, on the export side, exports of the “New Three Categories” of products reached 12.64 billion yuan in the first four months, up 50.1%. Among these, exports of photovoltaic products, electric vehicles, and lithium batteries increased by 69.2%, 43.5%, and 8.6%, respectively. Agricultural product exports totaled 2.81 billion yuan, up 2.3%. On the import side, imports of mechanical and electrical products reached 116.93 billion yuan, up 10.2%, with imports of integrated circuits amounting to 81.48 billion yuan, up 13.8%. Imports of consumer goods totaled 8.63 billion yuan, up 53.3%. Imports of metal ores and concentrates reached 3.1 billion yuan, up 12.7%.
