Customs statistics show that in January 2026, China’s imports of chloracetic acid totaled 132.2 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23.8%; exports totaled 4,622.8 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 43.5%. In February, China’s chloroacetic acid imports totaled 44.0 tons, down 66.7% month-on-month and 54.3% year-on-year; exports totaled 2,703.6 tons, down 41.5% month-on-month and 7.6% year-on-year. From January to February of this year, China’s cumulative imports of chloroacetic acid totaled 176.2 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 34.7%, while cumulative exports totaled 7,326.3 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 34.0%.
In January–February 2026, China’s chloroacetic acid imports primarily originated from Germany (60.0 tons), India (49.0 tons), and the Netherlands (44.0 tons), accounting for 34.1%, 27.8%, and 25.0% of the total, respectively; China’s exports of chloroacetic acid were primarily destined for Turkey (1,740.0 tons), Mexico (1,156.0 tons), and South Korea (743.5 tons), accounting for 23.8%, 15.8%, and 10.1% of the total, respectively.
