According to the latest customs data, in January 2026, China imported 20.6 tons of dichloromethane, a 25.3% increase from the previous month and a 40.0% increase year-on-year; exports totaled 21,448.9 tons, a 34.4% increase from the previous month and a 43.7% increase year-on-year; In February, imports totaled 6.6 tons, a decrease of 67.8% month-on-month and 28.3% year-on-year; exports reached 13,156.5 tons, down 38.7% month-on-month and 21.7% year-on-year.
From January to February 2026, China imported 27.2 tons of dichloromethane, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%; Exports totaled 34,605.4 tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%.
By export destination, from January to February 2026, the top five destinations for China’s dichloromethane exports were the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Vietnam, Turkey, and Pakistan, with a combined total of 17,110.8 tons, accounting for 49.4% of total exports. Specifically, exports to the UAE totaled 6,607.0 tons, accounting for 19.1%; to Brazil, 4,012.7 tons, accounting for 11.6%; to Vietnam, 2,382.8 tons, accounting for 6.9%; to Turkey, 2,150.1 tons, accounting for 6.2%; and to Pakistan, 1,958.0 tons, accounting for 5.7%.
Trichloromethane:
According to the latest customs data, in January 2026, China imported 1,600.2 tons of trichloromethane, a decrease of 11.1% month-on-month; exports totaled 117.0 tons, an increase of 39.3% month-on-month but a decrease of 61.1% year-on-year. In February, imports totaled 60.1 tons, a 96.2% decrease from the previous month; exports totaled 60.2 tons, a 48.5% decrease from the previous month but a 50.6% increase year-on-year.
From January to February 2026, China imported 1,660.3 tons of trichloromethane; cumulative exports totaled 177.2 tons, a 152.9% increase year-on-year.
In terms of export destinations, from January to February 2026, China’s trichloromethane was primarily exported to South Korea and Brazil, with a combined total of 177.0 tons, accounting for 99.9% of total exports. Of this, 153.0 tons were exported to South Korea, representing 86.4%, and 24.0 tons to Brazil, representing 13.5%. All trade was conducted under the general trade category.
